Novenas is a Catholic devotional iPhone app that lets you pray nine-day novenas. This Privacy Policy describes what information the app collects and how it is used.
The following data is stored locally on your phone in iOS local storage. None of it is transmitted to a server unless explicitly listed under "Information sent to external services" below.
When you tap Begin on a novena that has not been previously composed for you, the app sends the novena's metadata (title, V/R, dedication, and any custom intention parameter you typed) to a Cloudflare Worker we operate. The Worker forwards that request to Anthropic's Claude API, which composes the prayer text and returns it to your phone, where it is cached locally.
When you submit feedback through the Feedback page, the app sends your typed message and your email address (which is required) to the same Cloudflare Worker, which forwards them to Resend, an email-sending service. Resend delivers the feedback to the developer's inbox. Your email is included so the developer may reply directly to you.
We do not collect any other personal information. We do not use analytics, advertising SDKs, location services, contacts, or any third-party tracking. We do not sell or share your data with anyone.
If you grant notification permission, the app schedules a single daily local notification at the alert time you choose. These notifications are generated entirely on your device and do not require a server.
The app is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect information from children.
